Occupational Therapy (OT) emphasizes activities to promote independence, successful play, self-help, and school skills.

	Self care skills - for independent feeding, dressing, and hygiene

	Orthotics training and fitting for upper extremities
	Modalities such as electronic stimulation, heat, and ultrasound

There can be overlap between the different therapies because they are related and complementary services. The differences are in the techniques and activities used and the areas with which they are concerned.
